there. the real reason i haven't been blogging. i'm simply over-run with laundry from our trip back east. as most of you know, it's not the washing that's hard, thanks to the invention of the washer/dryer. nope. it's the folding. with that, i bring you the following video clip, courtesy of my mom (aka, the laundry queen). :) enjoy.

we've got big plans today. :) doing a lot of catch up around the house and with blue dress press. working on a the details of another wedding invite. just finished up this one:

shoot. i am a forgetful woman! in all the business here i totally forgot to post when anna lost her tooth! it happened last thursday evening, which means karly (being the closest guess) is the winner of a nice scrappy prize! check out the proud toothless anna --

1) i just replaced a toilet seat in our downstairs bathroom. it's antimicrobial, and that makes me giddy. seriously!
2) when mike and i were married, my dad and his sisters sang 'sunrise, sunset' at the wedding reception. i wish i had my dad singing on video. i miss his voice.
3) growing up i had two dogs -- westies. one day when i came home from college i couldn't find the little (neurotic) one, gus. turns out my mom gave him to the gardener. looking back, i don't really blame her.
4) currently sitting on my desk -- 3 layouts, one package of heidi swapp hearts, a pantone color-bridge book, an advertising postcard from michelle enebo photography, a mug half-full of decaf coffee, my camera, photos from winkflash, this calendar and the vbs manual.
5) i don't like scary movies. at. all.
6) i became a christian when i was 8. i remember wanting to read my bible, but not knowing where to begin. i read the only verse i knew -- john 8:12 -- everyday until eventually i grew more comfortable reading the bible on my own.
7) i have a soft spot for anyone who calls me mommy. :)

1) a layout, just for fun. font is one of laura's favorites. i can see why. :)
2) i've been holding off posting until anna's tooth falls out. so far, if you can believe it (!!!), it's still in. seriously, it's hanging by a thread! i won't go in to details, but i'm not altogether certain she's not holding it in there herself with a piece of chewing gum. ;)
3) went to noah's conference this week. conferences for 3 year olds -- only here in issaquah, i tell ya!
4) been finishing up a number of projects for blue dress press. our wedding suites are nearly up on the site. my favorite is this one --
and with that, here's to a visit from the tooth fairy (tonight?). happy thursday.
just thought i should let everyone that the tooth is still in its place. anna's been ever so careful - in hopes of losing her tooth at school. apparently if one loses a tooth at school they get a "tooth carrier" to bring their tooth home in.
ah.
i remember wanting a tooth carrier. :) and actually, i got one, too. only it was at the dentist when he pulled two of my teeth. i guess i had a mouthful of teeth as a kid. anyway, i got my tooth carrier and the next year, put it to good use when my mom stuck it on the end of a fancy wand. i was the tooth fairy for halloween. i should add the costume was entirely crafted by my mom. i think she bought out every yard of pistachio green tulle in the seattle metropolitan area. i was a sight to behold. ;)

i'm hopeful we'll have a winner of the guess-when-anna's-tooth-will-pop-out contest very soon. i'll keep you updated.
