happy leap year... um, day.

has it been 4 years already?  truth be told, i don't really remember the last leap year day.  i mean, i remember part of the year, just not the actual 29th of february, 2004.  seems like when you're given a whole extra day, you should use it to do something special, don't you agree?  so, in honor of this extra gift of a day, i made a list. :)

things i always wish i had more time to do:

• make chicken cacciatore.  it's delicious but takes more time than i like to spend cooking on an average day.
• take daisy to the dog park in the rain.  she loves the dog park.  she really loves running in the mud.  but as one might have guessed, a muddy dog also requires some rinsing, making the trip to the dog park much longer.
• hang out with my mom.  actually, we're going over there today.
• build a cool fort with the kids -- the kind you build using every stray blanket and pillow in the house.  then, snuggle up and read books by flashlight.
• play game after game after game of hide-and-go-seek with the kids.  noah's a terrible hider.  he giggles waaaaaaaaaaay too much.
• scrapbook a page just for me using some fun product that i ordered from two peas.
• and last but not least, don't you think today would be a great day to loose a tooth?

she thinks so. :)

guessing game.

anyone want to venture a guess when the second little bottom front tooth will exit stage left?  it's wiggly.  that's all i'll say. 

i've got a fun little goodie bag of scrappy stuff for those who want to play along.  guess correctly (or even the closest) and it's yours.

i'll pick a winner based on who is closest to the time of tooth departure.   the last two questions are simply for my own entertainment/research. ;)

tuesday random favorites

a little list of random favorites to start out the day.

1) a favorite (and recent) page -- made for fontwerks using the patterna and lively stamp sets.

2) these socks.  you already know i'm not a big sock person, but if i have to wear them, these are the ones i reach for...

4) this collar.  seriously, daisy heels like a show-dog with this thing on making our walks (and the bunnies that hop in front of us on our walks) even more happy!

5) this photo from last weekend.  we went to our favorite pancake house (4 of us ate breakfast for under $20) and headed across the way to sled and play in the snow. not a super photo, but i love it all the same...

5) this blog:  design sponge  -- love the color and pattern inspiration.  i could surf this site for hours, if only the laundry weren't piled to the ceiling.

6) and speaking of laundry, and because i warned you this list would be random, my favorite stain remover.  yes, i said stain remover! 

how's that for a no-nonsense way to start the day? ;)
